Our mission has always been to redefine the way we grow fresh produce locally. Starting as an idea with microgreens in a garage back in 2017, we wanted to challenge the status quo of the Agri industry, and by producing indoors, we've managed to do just that, growing great-tasting fresh berries out of season.
We've learnt a lot since 2017 and are now proud to say that we are a true New Zealand first. We are the very first producer of indoor vertical-farmed strawberries supplying local retailers.

What happens when two agri-industry greats share a passion for delicious fresh produce that's packed with nutrients? They look for innovative ways to redefine what it means to eat fresh! With our indoor vertical farming methods, we produce mouth-watering strawberries using our unique innovative lighting technology all year round, or as we like to call it - Non-Stop Nature. With a focus on great-tasting products produced locally, our berries are in high demand by chefs and consumers alike. Without seasonal constraints, you too can now eat the fresh food you love all year round.

Redefining Farming
The current state of our planet requires us to look at how we produce fresh berries and greens. We need to look at better ways to do this so we don't take so much from the land. Our controlled environment farms allow us to grow vertically, which requires less of a land footprint than traditional farming methods, and we grow locally to provide the market so there are fewer food miles. On top of that because we grow indoors we aren't as susceptible to climatic changes, which means greater food security for the future.
We believe there will always be a need for traditional farming, so our focus is on produce that isn't generally grown in traditional farms or produce that isn't available all year round. We see ourselves as a real complement to traditionally farmed produce with a few added benefits.
Our Founders
Steven and Matthew are agri-industry innovators whose interest in hydroponics and indoor vertical farming led to the creation of 3 of New Zealand's first vertical indoor farms, growing and selling strawberries and microgreens.
Matthew designed an environmentally-friendly grow system that produces both strawberries and microgreens that are not only highly nutritious but also bursting with flavour. Soon after the first site was established in 2017, Matthew was selling microgreens to some of Wellington's top restaurants.
Lucy joined to help get 26 Seasons' products into the hands of consumers, opening up both online and supermarket channels. Our product is now available in over 100 restaurants in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Tauranga, and we continue to look at opportunities for further expansion.
Our Nutrition
Strawberries are one of nature's true superfruits. Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C and other antioxidants, which help reduce the risk of serious health conditions. They are also an excellent source of Magnesium and Phosphorous. So not only are they delicious, but they are also nutritious. Win-win!
